Election Day '23 (11/7/2023)

Dear Friend,

What wonderful election results! At Hamilton Campaign Network we could not be prouder of our clients whose hard work and dedication to their communities has been recognized by the voters this election.

First and foremost we congratulate long time client Vedat Gashi, recently voted Chair of the Westchester Board of Legislators in a unanimous vote by his colleagues. We are excited at his overwhelming general election victory tonight, winning with 60% of the vote - the most he has achieved in any election to date.

We are also delighted to be part of some great coalition building in support of Westchester Democratic candidates! Our partnership with Democratic Majority Action Committee (DMAC), under the leadership of Chair Vedat Gashi, supported six Westchester County Legislators and candidates, and all incumbents earned re-election. We also congratulate Judah Holstein for his election as a Legislator in District 10.

As a follow up to her resounding primary victory, we are excited to see Lynn Schulman skate into another victory winning her general election, in the redistricted District 29 in the New York City Council (representing Forest Hills, Kew Gardens, Rego Park, and Richmond Hill) by an overhelming 67.9%.

On the independent expenditure side, we were excited to help get our friend Justin Brannan across the finish line with a mail and a multi-pass turnout canvass program targeting low efficacy Democratic voters.

Finally, we are extremely proud of New Rochelle Councilwoman Yadira Ramos Herbert who, after her decisive and her-storic victory in the highly contested primary race, has been successfully elected as mayor. With her inspiring candidacy and earning 56% of the vote, she has become the first woman, person of color, and Afro-Latina to serve as Mayor for New York State’s seventh largest city! In addition, we worked with her coordinated campaign to ensure success for all five Democratic City Council candidates in New Rochelle.

Our work outside of New York City did not stop there; we also worked with Eleanor’s Legacy to deliver teleservices that were key to victory for Dutchess County Legislator Yvette Valdes Smith, Poughkeepsie Mayor Yvonne Flowers, and Rockland County Legislators Beth Davidson & Dana Stilley. Additionally, we worked with Rye City Democratic candidates Jamie Jensen and Joshua Nathan to get out the vote that were key to their electoral success.

We look forward to the wonderful work that our newly elected representatives will enact, and are proud of being a part of efforts to defend our democratic values.

Siempre,

The Hamilton Campaign Network
